The Beauty of Holiness: The Place and Use of Fine Arts in the Life of the Church
Led By:
Rev. Dr. Larry Grimes, poet and Professor English Emeritus, Bethany College;
Rev. David Chafin, musican and Deputy Regional Minister WV;
Kenn Morgan, painter and Professor of Fine Arts, Bethany College; and
Aaron Anslow, potter and Assistant Professor of Fine Arts, Bethany College.

This workshop will provide time for both theological reflection on the role of the arts in the life of the church and
experience, and instruction in making beautiful art works for your church. Ways to use the arts in worship, for
spiritual discovery, and for Christian education will be explored. You should, literally, take something of beauty
and holiness home with you.

July18-19, 2014, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm daily

(1 C.E.U. - Worship/Proclamation of the Word - available)
