Disciples Mission Fund provides
operational funds for the Christian Church in
West Virginia and General Units serving God in
the USA and around the world.
DMF funds come from our congregations who
contribute from their outreach budgets and
designated giving. These are sent to office of
Treasury Services.
Because we support DMF we make it possible
for the Christian Church in West Virginia to
serve our congregations through:
- Women’s, Men’s and Youth Programs
- Resources for Congregational Vitality
- Search and Call Assistance and Interim
Ministries
- Regional and Ecumenical Outreach
How are your
Mission Fund
dollars used?
60% of your church’s giving to Disciples
Mission Fund comes back to the region to
fund ongoing operations and program.
100% of your church’s giving to the
Christmas offering remains in the region for
operations and program, as do your gifts to
the Annual Fund.
50% of a your church’s giving to the
Pentecost offering comes back to the region
to fund congregation revitalization and new
church starts.
Your church’s giving to the Thanksgiving
offering is divided between Disciple
institutions of higher education across the
country and benefits institutions in our area,
including Bethany College and Lexington
Theological Seminary.
Your church’s giving to the Easter offering
benefits the General Ministries of our
denomination.
Special Opportunities
through Designated Gifts
The region offers several opportunities for donors to
contribute to specific causes within the life of the Regional
Church, including:
- The William B. Allen Fund for Ecumenical Ministry
- The Margaret A. Green Fund for Regional Ministry
- The WV Women’s Ministries Endowment Fund
- The Men’s Project Fund
- The Youth Ministries Fund
- and Others
Faithful stewardship is a life-long learning and
giving commitment intended for all of God’s people. With
faithful planning, that stewardship can continue long after
your earthly journey ends.
Please contact us or Rev. W. Darwin Collins at the
Christian Church Foundation if you want to discuss estate
planning, your will, or other means of planned giving.
